I'm Still Here
Preface:
This book of Inspirational Poems is to let you know that even during the trials and tribulations in my life, I didnt let it stop my praise. It didnt take my focus off of what is very important and essential in order to live today and righteously. It also taught me in my dialy walk that the closer you get to God, that means walking the walk and talking that talk, the struggle is going to be even more. Even if it is to test to see how strong your faith is. I was tested and I was tried, just being married to a reverend alone for a short time was a test of my faith. What I mean by that is my test came in will I be following this reverend who proclaimed to be about God's business and living contrary to God's word? Or would I keep my focus on God and know the difference from someone who is allowing God to lead their lives or in order to keep a man I will do everything that he says. Him and his family taught me about being a Christian so they introduced me to this lifestyle. Not knowing that everything that I take in that its supposed to be not just talked about but lived out. And I wasn't just studying God's word I was living it. Kind of put a damper to their plans.
I'm Still Here
Written by: Barbara Judkins
I'm still here
Tried to take me out
Kept on trying
but i didnt have any doubt.
I'm still here
Beat me, thought I was dead
But God said, "Look to me instead,"
God's word I read.
I'm still here
Their behavior, they said I was the blame.
Said I put them to shame.
I told them, "this was no game."
I will only call on Jesus name.
You are not acting the same.
Only Jesus can ignite this flame.
I'm still here
No longer there.
Life isn't fare.
Follow you I wouldn't dare.
The cross is the only thing I would wear.
Thank God
I'm Still Here.
