WEATHERING THE STORM

Some would say you could never recover from Domestic Violence; they haven't me me I am a survivor of alot and

have recovered from it all.  It takes time and you have to truly reintroduce yourself to yourself.  Why do I say that?

Well while you are being abused, the person whose abusing you is stripping you of self so that they can feel important

in your life; to the point that you don't even care about the abuse that you are enduring it's actually okay to you as

long as you have someone in your life; its better then being alone.  I'm sorry but the lies they have told you while you

were them are all lies i tell you they are all lies.

I use AKIMALYAH for a reason; While writing my first book I was told that Unspoken was already used by a publisher.

So I prayed and asked God to give me a name that would benefit both male and female.  Thus AKIMALYAH means

Always Knowing Important Men And Ladies You Are Here.   That means ladies and gentleman, you boys and girls

you are important don't ever allow anyone to tell you otherwise.  You might be getting abused by an parent who was

abused; even though it's your parent you are still important.  Your parent just have to be reminded that they didn't like

the abuse when they were receiving it so they shouldn't pass it on to another, such as yourself. Everybody is important in

this world.

RECOVERY

Recovery is not an easy process especially when we are not ready to face the

situation that we are trying to avoid;  For the pain is too great for us to deal with

it.  So we use different methods to knumb the feeling.  I never have done alcohol

or drugs of any kind but I know from experiencve the process by which you have

to recover from something.

I never used the above but I have used other methods to try and hide from the fact

that i was truly hurting on the inside.  Since I have been labled as being the strong one

in the family have basically allowed me to put up this strong wall that has been

hard to break down for over 27 years.

This book came about because I still allow healing to be a part of my life I have to

admit that I am recoveirg from something.
